Sweat Shields

Sweat shields, or underarm sweat pads are what Hollywood’s poster boy Bradley Cooper should have worn while filming All About Steve, and what you must consider if you have a problem of sweating a lot. Excessive sweating is a common problem, but thankfully it can be kept under check with underarm sweat pads. These are designed to absorb sweat and prevent it from forming those disgusting blotches on your clothes.

Whether you are heading out for that important job interview, a date you have been looking forward to for a long time, or at a parent teacher meeting at your child’s school, you would not want to land up looking all wet and sweaty, would you? Sweating is a normal bodily function that you cannot stop, but with the help of sweat shields you can make sure that you keep looking nice and fresh.

The most popular sweat shield types are usually of the disposable varieties, meant for just one time use only. However there are many companies that manufacture sweat shields for multiple uses. These need to be washed and dried before reuse, and both the disposable and regular types can be easily bought off the shelves or online.

If you are thinking that wearing sweat shields sounds like a great idea to avoid armpit embarrassment but will be uncomfortable, you need not worry. These are very simple to use — all you need to do is attach them with adhesive to the inside of your dress or shirt, and you are good to go. You do not have to wonder whether the ugly wet patches on your shirt or dress are visible or not, since the sweat shields will be doing their job and acting as a ‘shield’ between your body’s seat glands and your clothing.

You must remember that sweat shields do not have any magical powers that stop sweating completely, but are more like a short-term solution to keep your clothes looking clean and dry. Every individual’s body works in a unique way, and if you feel that even with the use of sweat pads, there is not much difference, it is better to look for better alternatives. If your problem is of such a magnitude that it is causing you’re a lot of embarrassment in social situations, the best option for you would be to use sweat shields but simultaneously get proper help from a medical professional.
